Guelph-Wellington MSM Sexual Health Coordinator
This position is focused on HIVSTBBI prevention education for targeted populations, and the provincial Gay Men’s Health Strategy, with a focus on cis and trans men and non-binary folks who have sex with men (MSM) in Guelph-Wellington. Under supervision of the Guelph Site Manager, the incumbent will deliver individual, group-based and online HIV/STI prevention education and health promotion outreach, in addition to HIV self-test facilitation, and community development activities.
Guelph-Wellington Women HIV/AIDS Initative Coordinator
The Women’s HIV/AIDS Initiative (WHAI) Coordinator builds local community capacity in response to the HIV/AIDS prevention needs of disproportionately impacted Indigenous, African, Caribbean, and Black cis and trans women, queer, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people made vulnerable to HIV through structural inequality, and facilitates trainings to improve the quality of life for participants living with HIV/AIDS. The incumbent works as part of the provincial Women and HIV/AIDS Initiative (https://whai.ca), addressing structural factors that increase women's risk factors for HIV. The work primarily focuses on engagement with local organizations serving Indigenous, Black, and racialized women, and priority populations of women, survivors of intimate partner and gender-based violence, to deliver an array of HIV-related health promotion strategies.
Please note that full-time staff at Thrive work a 30-hour week, and that starting annual salaries for Workers are $42,455; for Coordinators are $47,400; and for Managers are $53,900.
