Peer Program Coordinator
The Peer Program Coordinator works with the Manager of Volunteers and Peer Engagement to recruit and train a diverse team of self-identified individuals with lived experience as peer volunteers who a) assist PHAs who are either new to or experiencing challenges with their HIV diagnosis or self-management of their health care, and b) assist the Manager, Harm Reduction Programs with various program-related tasks. The Peer Coordinator will participate in and deliver training on HIV and hepatitis C treatment, Naloxone, prevention, positive self-management and modeling self-care, motivational interviewing and decisional balance techniques.
Harm Reduction Outreach Lead
The Harm Reduction Outreach Lead is responsible for assisting the Harm Reduction Team in the planning, implementation and sustainability of Harm Reduction programs and services of THRIVE in all program areas. This will include the SafePoint needle & syringe programs, education programming targeted to at-risk populations, and other community outreach initiatives. In addition, the Harm Reduction Outreach Lead will coordinate with other THRIVE staff and community partners to provide services for individuals affected by and/or at risk for HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and overdose, including education, Naloxone training, harm reduction and prevention strategies.
Please note that full-time staff at Thrive work a 30-hour week, and that starting annual salaries for Workers are $42,455; for Coordinators are $47,400; and for Managers are $53,900.
